For a better longevity of your butcher's block and kitchen log, use our maintenance balm regularly.
The cutting surface needs to be oiled once or twice a month with edible oil.
Our care balm consists of a precise mixture of mineral oil and beeswax. It is the best protection for your log during all your cutting operations. This balm will penetrate and freeze in the wood fibres and thus your butt log will better resist the penetration of the juices of your cuts. This one will allow you an easier cleaning.
Your log will then be ready to withstand all your cuts for a very long time!

Maintaining your log
Designed for everyday use, our logs gain in beauty and durability over time with proper maintenance.
Using your log for the first time :
Oil all surfaces with 1 to 2 spoonfuls of oil to preserve their quality.
After each use :
Scrape off excess moisture with a knife and oil monthly to prolong their life. Never clean your log with water. All Chabret butt-wood logs are guaranteed for 6 months against all manufacturing defects, provided that all the conditions listed above have been met. Only a manufacturing defect will be taken into account.
