After each use a block must be scraped to remove impurities and maintain its smooth and healthy appearance.
It's that good scratching that's gonna dig up those butcher's blocks.

Maintaining your block
Designed for everyday use, our blocks gain in beauty and durability over time with proper maintenance.
Using your log for the first time :
Oil all surfaces with 1 to 2 spoonfuls of oil to preserve their quality.
After each use :
Scrape off excess moisture with a knife and oil monthly to prolong their life. Never clean your log with water. All Chabret butt-wood logs are guaranteed for 6 months against all manufacturing defects, provided that all the conditions listed above have been met. Only a manufacturing defect will be taken into account.
