For longer life of your kitchen and butcher’s butcher block, regularly use our maintenance balm.
The cutting surface should be oiled once or twice a month with food‑grade oil. Our maintenance balm is made from a precise blend of mineral oil and beeswax and offers the best protection for your butcher block during all your cutting tasks.
The balm penetrates and sets in the wood fibres so your end‑grain block is more resistant to juice penetration, making cleaning much easier. Your butcher block will then be ready to withstand many years of intensive use.

Maintain your block
Designed for daily use, our blocks gain in beauty and durability over time with good maintenance.
First use of your block:
Oil all surfaces with 1 to 2 tablespoons of oil to preserve their quality.
After each use:
Scrape off excess moisture with a knife and oil monthly to prolong their longevity. Never clean your log with water. All Chabret wooden end blocks are guaranteed for 6 months against any manufacturing defects, provided that all the conditions listed above have been met. Only, a possible manufacturing defect will be taken into account.
